| Lifegroups
are the basic building block at Antioch, similar to cells in the
body. These small group gatherings, ideally ranging from eight to
fifteen members, are designed to facilitate community, personal
growth, and evangelism.
Weekly gatherings are comprised of meeting together in homes for
a time of fellowship, worship, discussion, and prayer. These house
to house meetings are mentioned many times in the New Testament
as a way for the church to be trained and to experience life together.
Lifegroup Leaders function as the pastors or shepherds of the church
by praying for, loving, and serving its members. Involvement in
a Lifegroup helps church members experience the love and care that
each one needs.
Lifegroups are available by age category for Youth and College.
The 20 Somethings have Lifegroups designed for those who are single
or married in their twenties and thirties. The Family groups cover
it all! There are some Lifegroups with kids, some without…some
older adults, some young marrieds.
Lifegroups usually rotate their meeting locations. So, make sure
you stop by the Welcome Center for a current Lifegroup listing.
Acts 2:42-47
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the
fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was
filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done
by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything
in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone
as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the
temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together
with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor
of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those
who were being saved.
